Breakfast should take less than 5 minutes to make. It should take as much time (or less) as you stand in that huge line in front of Starbucks, then it gets to your turn and you say, “A grande latte and breakfast sandwich please…. ” By the time you get to the sugar counter to grab some napkins, you will have already made your own breakfast.
That’s how long breakfast should take. Plus $5 in savings!Try a hot bowl of delicious oatmeal with flaxseed and berries tomorrow morning. You will love it!
It’s so easy, only 5 ingredients that are available in any grocery store and super quick!

  • Yields: 2 Servings

Ingredients

1 cup quick oatmeal

2 tsp flaxseed

2 cups boiled water (or milk, nut milk)

1/2 cup frozen mixed berries (or just blueberries)

1 banana (half a banana/ per serving, sliced in bite size pieces)

Directions

Add oatmeal … and flaxseed… and of course water (or milk) in the pot on medium heat.

Stirring occasionally. Cook until oatmeal looks creamy consistency or desired taste, 3-5 minutes.

While your oatmeal is cooking, defrost the berries in a microwave-safe cup for 30 seconds to 1 minute (depending on the strength of your microwave.)

Pour oatmeal in a bowl, scoop the berries on top and add half a banana to naturally sweeten it up.
