  • Yields: 1 Serving

Ingredients

1 egg

1/8 tsp salt & 1/8 teaspoon pepper

1 tsp water

1 English muffin (can be substituted with regular bread)

Directions

Slice your English muffin and toast it in a toaster. If you don’t have a toaster, you can mildly toast it on a frying pan on medium heat for 2-3 minutes each side, or until each side is golden.

Add an egg, salt, pepper, water in a small bowl or a tea cup. With a fork beat everything lightly for 10 seconds.

Microwave your egg bowl/cup for 40-50 seconds. It should come out fluffy and cooked.

Assemble your fluffy egg on the toast and add some ketchup. Feel free to add a slice of ham or cheddar cheese as an addition.

Canada Day Breakfast in 40-SECONDS: Egg Breakfast Sandwich (Tim Horton’s Copycat)

This week you can sleep in a bit longer… because it’s Canada Day holiday. Whether you are taking just a one day off or the whole week off, I’m sure we are all glad to be able to stay in bed a little bit longer.

Maybe your family will be up around 9:00-11:00 am, starting the day very easy and relaxed. The next question is: “Where should we go for breakfast?”

However, most likely most restaurants are closed on the statutory day, and if any are open, they are guaranteed to be packed with most people having the day off. The whole family gets dressed, piles into the car, find a parking spot, maybe pay for parking if you live the city, and then wait 20 minutes for an available table…this is a bit too much for just some eggs and bacon meal.
