Do you often look for that mid-day snack in the office or a late-night snack while watching your favourite show? Even a pre-workout time snack or anytime snack? Do you sometimes feel that all you want is that quick & healthy snack?

Something that is easy to grab on a go, yet powerful enough to hold you until the next meal time.
These energy balls are so easy to make and require zero cooking skills (no hot burning oven, no knife skills).
The best part: they are ready in 10-minutes!

  • Yields: 25 Servings

Ingredients

1 cup instant oats

1/2 cup ground flaxseed (If you don’t have ground flaxseed, substitute with poppy seeds or ground almonds or ground cashews)

1/2 cup chopped walnuts (or chocolate chips or raisins for sweettooth)

2/3 cup unsweetened coconut flakes

1/2 cup peanut butter (or natural peanut butter or natural almond butter- my favourite!)

1/3 cup liquid honey

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 tbsp ground chia seeds (Optional)

Directions

Tip: To avoid washing your measurement spoons multiple times, follow the ingredient list by order.

Add all ingredients in a large mixing bowl.

Mix everything thoroughly with a mixing spoon.

Fill a tablespoon of the mixture, put the mixture in your hand, and roll it into individual balls.

Tip: Overtime the mixture will get sticky on your hands. Just rinse your hands with water and continue rolling.

Arrange the balls into a glass or plastic dish. Cover with a lid and keep in the refrigerator.

Plus, they are packed with nutrients and deliciousness. No more store bought, processed granola bars from now on. (by the time you put your shoes on to head out to the store, you probably already have made this snack)
Grab them to take to school, to work, to the gym or enjoy them on your couch while watching your favourite show.
What’s your favourite quick & healthy snack? What substitutions did you make in your recipe?
